If you’re in London on a Thursday night, head over to Mau Mau Bar on Portobello Rd for a night of Jazz re:freshed. Adam ‘Rock’ Moses and Justin ‘Top Rock’ McKenzie (both of which are Guys We’d !!!), started a movement in 2003 that has spawned into a weekly residency in a West London bar with an impressive list of impassioned artists. They also released two records under the Jazz re:freshed label, a 2 disc compilation and the first of their 5ive series. Their second release, Spaven’s 5ive x drummer Richard Spaven, is an apt representation of the caliber of musicians on the bill at Mau Mau Bar on any given Thursday.
